Trade & Investment Needs Assessment
Initiated trade and investment information needs assessment, in light of the requirements of a proposed Jordan Authority for Economic Development (JAED) and the Economic Studies Directorate at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Reviewed and recommended implementation plans for the definition of a trade and investment information strategy; developed a plan to create a centralized point of information collection and dissemination; assessed the technical capacity at the staff level and identified the requirements for skills development; identified ways to improve key government websites; and assisted in drafting a plan to create new databases and rationalize and expand existing ones essential to support upcoming trade negotiations and policy decisions.
