Assessing the current organization and practices of the Jordan Investment Board
The objective of this consultancy was to develop a framework for a long-term, substantive reorganization and capacity building program that the Jordan Investment Board requires to promote and facilitate foreign direct investment successfully in accordance with international best practice. This involved making a headline assessment of how the organization, structure and work methodology of JIB compared with a world class investment promotion agency such as the Industrial Development Agency (IDA), Ireland’s premier inward investment promotion organization, identifying gaps and structural impediments and making initial recommendations for improvement. It was recognized that follow-on work would be necessary to gain a deeper understanding of the issues involved and to fashion more focused implementation measures.
