Jordan Vision 2020 Investment Data Collection Effort (June 2004)
Gathered data on all direct investments made in Jordan since the publication of Jordan Vision 2020 1.0 (i.e., 2000 to 2003) and incorporated the following details: sector, capital investment, employment creation, and export generation.
Identified, contacted, and officially requested to provide the relevant data from various sources of direct investment and those included: JIB, JIEC, FZC, MIT, DOS, CBJ, SSC, QIZ’s, IE’s, ASEZA, UNCTAD, and the IMF.
The data received was then filtered, analyzed, reconciled, categorized, and compiled in a report that sorted out investments in the three groups according to their location, namely: National Customs Area, Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ), and Qualifying Industrial Zones (QIZ’s).
